CSA simply stands for Community Supported Agriculture and this is how it works. A member pays in full or in 2 easy payments for a membership or “share” in the farm before the harvest distributions begins in June. For 22 consecutive weeks, weather permitting, each member receives a share of the farm’s weekly harvest. In this form of direct, mutually beneficial farmer-to-consumer relationship, both the farmer and Horse Shoe Ranch members share in the delicious bounty, as well as sharing in the risks associated with farming.
The benefits of our CSA membership are plentiful and various. In return for your commitment to the farm. Horse Shoe Ranch is committed to providing you and yours with your own local source of high quality organically grown fresh vegetables at an incredible value. With your membership, you will be joining the Horse Shoe Ranch community of like-minded people actively sharing and participating in the support of local organically grown produce. No middle man or women involved, produce comes from the ground then directly to you and with the constantly changing selection of produce, it is an exciting way to introduce new foods that may be unfamiliar to you.
Horse Shoe Ranch CSA members and interested members of the community are invited to attend scheduled farm tours, along with dinners and other special events that will be held through out the year on the farm to showcase our produce and our appreciation to you.
